Empowering Through Effective Communication OR Fostering Confidence and Articulation

ESB’s Oracy Workshop initiative is dedicated to empowering young people from diverse backgrounds to communicate confidently and effectively. Regardless of ability or background, the mission is to instil self-esteem and confidence in even the most apprehensive participants. By providing tailored support and understanding, enabling learners to overcome barriers and unlock their communication potential.

At the heart of ESB’s approach is the belief that everyone has the ability to become a confident and articulate communicator. Through engaging workshops and personalised guidance, participants are encouraged to express themselves with clarity and conviction in any situation. By nurturing confidence and articulation, ESB’s resources empower young people to deliver their message with impact and authenticity.

Addressing the Impact of Poor Communication Skills

The significance of strong communication skills cannot be overstated, particularly in the context of learning, life, and work. Poor communication skills can hinder academic achievement, limit career prospects, and exacerbate socio-economic disparities. By providing young people with the tools to communicate effectively, ESB aims to alleviate these challenges and cultivate a foundation for success.

Navigating Challenges and Building Resilience

ESB realises the diverse challenges young people may face, from lack of self-esteem to socio-economic disadvantage. Through tailored interventions and empathetic support, their aim is to empower learners to navigate obstacles and develop resilience in their communication journey. Allowing participants to flourish and reach their full potential.

Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation – Social Media Toolkit / Pledge Kit

This year on 22nd April 2023, the 30th anniversary of Stephen’s death, our goal is to ensure that the next 30 years look different from the last. We believe that meaningful change starts with tangible actions. If we each commit to taking one action on Stephen Lawrence Day that will positively impact the lives of young people from marginalised backgrounds, together we can honour Stephen’s life and legacy, and build a fairer, kinder and more equitable society in his name.
