EYFS & KS1
We focus on how we are all ‘Special and different’ and the importance of making good choices.
Through our Early Years, Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 assemblies and resources we support teachers with our very youngest children. Topics such as ‘Wonderful me’ and ‘Why am I special like Stephen’ work alongside school planning that may already be in place.
We celebrate respect and kindness, recognising our differences!
While Stephen’s story is challenging, the purpose for children in the Early years is to encourage a respect for difference. Being kind, respectful and inclusive of others are key themes. ‘It’s good to be different’ is a key message throughout their learning.
