I am saddened to learn of the passing of Sir William Macpherson. When the Inquiry into Stephen’s murder was announced with Sir William as its Chair, my family and I were extremely concerned at his appointment.

Opening on Saturday, 1 February, Saveways is a 15,000 sq ft store offering premium halal produce, world foods, and everyday essentials—all under one roof. From halal meat and poultry to fresh bakery items and household products, Saveways is set to fill a much-needed gap in the community.
With their roots in South London, the founders are on a mission to provide a modern, affordable, and inclusive shopping experience that truly represents the people it serves.
