SUPPORT
BAFTA Bursaries Pilot
This year, BAFTA is proposing a unique scheme to aid young aspirants that are in need of financial assistance in order to reach the next stage in their careers. BAFTA’s partnerships with organisations such as BFI Film Academy, Edinburgh TV Festival, The Network, BAFTA’s YGD Alumni, Film London and MAMA Youth, will provide a controlled group of individuals for the pilot.
Candidates will be given the chance to introduce themselves and express their needs. Those selected for the programme will be eligible to receive up to £2,000 in financial support. In addition, BAFTA will facilitate group round table sessions to connect beneficiaries to the industry, depending on their level or need, and they would gain access to BAFTA events throughout the year.
Through the years, BAFTA’s running scholarship programme has given rise to many success stories. The execution of the new BAFTA Bursaries pilot will widen their reach towards a new network of aspiring talents that will have the chance to reach new heights in the creative industries.
YOUR INVOLVEMENT
BAFTA Bursaries Pilot
BAFTA and the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation would like to invite you to be a founding donor of a pioneering form of financial support for people at the beginning of their careers.
You can be the founding supporter of this pioneer programme and provide financial help that isn’t readily available elsewhere. Donations at any level to the bursaries programme are welcome.
A recommended donation of £25,000 will enable us to run the new scheme for one year and provide at least 10 individuals with financial assistance towards their career.
You will have the chance to meet your beneficiaries and we will send you updates on their progress during the year.
We will acknowledge you on our website and in any press announcements in relation to the Bursaries Pilot.
Bursaries Timeline
