Creating Pathways to a Brighter Future

Home » Apprenticeships
At the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation, we believe in building a society where every young person—regardless of their background—has the opportunity to thrive. Our Apprenticeship initiatives are designed to break down barriers and provide access to meaningful careers for underrepresented talent across the UK.
Why Apprenticeships Matter
Apprenticeships are a powerful way to open doors. They offer hands-on experience, industry-recognised qualifications, and the chance to earn while you learn. But for too many young people from marginalised communities, these opportunities remain out of reach. We’re here to change that.
Through strategic partnerships with forward-thinking employers, we’re creating access to high-quality apprenticeship schemes that reflect our commitment to equity, inclusion, and opportunity.

Why do an apprenticeship?
As an apprentice, you’ll earn a real wage from day one, gaining hands-on experience while developing the skills that employers truly value. Apprenticeships are more than just a job, they’re a powerful step toward long-term success.
By completing an apprenticeship, you’ll be setting yourself up for a brighter future, with many apprentices seeing significant salary growth over time. In fact, those who complete higher-level apprenticeships can earn up to £150,000 more over their lifetime.*

Our Commitment to Young People
At the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation, we’re proud to champion the next generation of leaders, creators, and changemakers.
