Stephen Lawrence Day takes place on April 22nd every year, on the anniversary of Stephen’s death. A national moment of reflection and a call to action. Each year, we honour Stephen’s life by inspiring individuals, schools, and communities to drive change. Stephen Lawrence Day is more than remembrance, it’s a day to celebrate progress, challenge injustice, and empower young people to imagine their futures. We provide schools, workplaces, and individuals with resources and inspiration to participate meaningfully.

A big thank you to @fouragencyhq, one of our key supporters, who kindly marked this year’s Stephen Lawrence Day with a powerful display throughout their office. Their boards shared Stephen’s story—from his early life and tragic death to the fight for justice and the mission of the Foundation.

On Thursday 15 May, our Founder, Baroness Doreen Lawrence @dlawrenceobe joined Haringey Youth Services @haringeycouncil for a powerful day of youth-led performances, inspiring speeches, creative workshops and the heartfelt unveiling of a final artwork honouring Stephen Lawrence.
In the lead-up, workshops were held across local schools, introducing young people to Stephen’s story and legacy. We’re incredibly grateful to Haringey Youth Services for this meaningful work with young people aged 11–19 (up to 25 with SEND), and for helping to keep Stephen’s name alive through creativity, education and community.

🎓 The Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation Scholarship supported by @adidasuk is now open for applications!
In partnership with @lcflondon_ London College of Fashion, UAL this scholarship offers £75,750 over three years to support four Home students from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds or those who’ve completed the UAL Insights Programme.
This opportunity is about more than funding. It honours Stephen’s passion for creativity and opens doors in the fashion industry for young changemakers.
